IRS Representation

Our Philosophy

We understand that good people have tax problems, and these problems are often the result of unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances.   Then when the IRS or state taxing authorities get involved, the situation quickly can go from bad to worse. We will help those we can help, whether that involves the lifting of a garnishment or tax levy, negotiating an installment agreement, presenting an offer in compromise, or petitioning the US Tax Court.

We will not make claims that we can settle your case for pennies on the dollar as many advertise. While we can make the same claims, we know that each case is unique and requires a different approach. We do not want to build up false hope, but instead honestly and accurately explain the best options and their risks. Many of our clients have been burned by other firms making such claims.

“We don’t tell our clients what they want to hear, but what they need to hear.  We will not make false promises that give false hope.  We believe our clients want to know and deserve to know the truth.”laurie-sig

How to Get Started

The best way to get started is to call our office at 404-607-8400 and discuss your case with one of our CPAs, our Enrolled Agent, or our Tax Attorney. After an initial consultation, if we believe we can help you, we will walk you through the next steps.

What to Expect

Since each client’s tax situation is unique, it is impossible to tell you up front what our fees will be without doing some preliminary work. In most cases, the recommended approach is listed below.

For $500, we will obtain a power of attorney, contact the taxing authority on your behalf and confirm the taxing authorities position against you. Then, using our professional opinion, we will advise you on your options and what we believe to be the best approach to address the issues. At this time, you can decide to engage us or discontinue our relationship. We have never had someone choose not to engage us after this step.

If you choose to continue with us, we will have you sign an engagement letter, request a retainer and get stated.   We will stay in communication with you each step of the way. We will not ask you for money if we do not believe we can help you be in a stronger financial position when the engagement is completed.

“There is a solution for every tax problem, but it is not the same for each person.”  Janet signature
